De dwa da dehs nye>s Aboriginal Health Centre is happy to announce that we are now accepting nominations for our three annual awards, that were introduced at our inaugural October Moon Gala in 2015.

The three awards are:

Partnership Award: Choices Association

The Partnership Award award recognizes the significance of partnerships that further the vision, goals and success of De dwa da dehs nye>s Aboriginal Health Centre. It is awarded annually to an organization or community group which has helped achieve the goals of De dwa da dehs nye>s Aboriginal Health Centre through outstanding collaboration in support of urban Indigenous community members.

  • Indigenous Health Network (formerly known as the Aboriginal Health Network) of the Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant Local Health Integration Network (2015)

Starfish Award: Elaine Lee

The Starfish Award award recognizes the caring spirit, commitment and dedication to making a significant impact in the quality of life of many individual within the Indigenous Community.

Wisdom Keeper Award: Renee Thomas Hill

The Wisdom Keeper Award recognizes the significant and continuous service to the Indigenous Community of an Individual whom consistently demonstrates The Seven Grandfather Teachings, The Good Mind and Traditional Ways of Knowing and Being.
