Terry Ramirez is a member of the Tuscarora nation of the Six Nations of the Grand River Territory. Her father is Jamaican and her father’s mother was Arawak. Terry grew up in Caledonia and currently resides at Six Nations of the Grand River Territory. Terry has a combined BA in Sociology and Indigenous Studies from McMaster University. She has over 20 years’ experience working in hospitals in Hamilton from front line worker to senior administrative support. She has worked in clinical, organizational development, research and human resources. Terry was seconded to help with the setup of the Aging at Home Program for the Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brand Local Health Integration Network (HNHB LHIN). She is currently working full-time for Indspire as Program Coordinator for the Indspire Institute. She has an interest in crafts and is learning Haudenosaunee traditional raised beadwork.
