Karonyahawi (Carries the Sky)  Cheryl Adams is of the Kanyenkehaka (Mohawk) people and belongs to the Turtle clan family. Cheryl has been raised on the Six Nations Territory where she currently resides. Cheryl is a mom of two children Wade and Santana. Wade and his partner Krystal have blessed her with 3 unique and special grandchildren Sierra, Jordan, and Jaxon. Cheryl is a graduate of Mohawk College’s Native Community Care program.  A graduate of the Aboriginal Concurrent Disorders Program. Cheryl currently is attending McMaster’s School of Social Work to obtain her Bachelor of Social Work degree. Cheryl is a Heart Centered Wholistic Reiki Master Teacher Practitioner. She is a Certified Indigenous Addictions Specialist level III. She is certified at the intermediate level in Psychodramatic Bodywork. A certified Focus Intention Technique practitioner, she has extensive experience with Suicide and Crisis Interventions in First Nations communities. She designs and provides group, community, and organization workshops and training support in areas of recovery, revitalization, and healing trauma and grief. Karonyahawi shares the gift of Kashastehnshera Kawerohn of our ancestors as a sacred healer who channels the highest good for our people’s healing, and for healing all of Creation.
