Amanda Squire is a Mohawk Turtle clan from Six Nations where she currently resides with her daughter.  She attended high school in Pierson, Florida and began her college and university in Greensboro, North Carolina.  Amanda received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Contemporary Studies from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2004.  In the Six Nations community she was able to help others through various positions such as a Primary Prevention Worker with Social Services, FASD/Child Nutrition Coordinator with The Maternal and Child Centre and Suicide Prevention Coordinator with Mental Health.  Amanda joined the De dwa da dehs nye>s Aboriginal Health Centre in September 2013 as the Healthier You Project Coordinator (Brantford site) in Health Promotions.  She was employed in this position under a one year maternity leave contract until August 2014.  In January 2016 Amanda was able to return to the centre in the same position as the Healthier You Project Coordinator (Brantford site) in Health Promotions.
